Matching Men's Jacket

I’ve joined M/Y Kamalaya as chief stewardess, a new Build 55m Amels four months prior to its launch with the task of planning the crew uniform. At the best of times this involves a lot of headaches. Finding a true gem like The Superyacht Shop amidst an ocean of uniform suppliers to the yachting industry turned out to be one of the most effortless tasks involving the setup of a new build yacht.

Meeting the girls in person kickstarted our relationship. With a background in the fashion industry I have very high standards regarding clothing (fabric content, fit and price). I was extremely excited about what we had worked on. Once the storyboards came together, I had to propose it to our owner who was highly impressed. Presenting the actual sample of each garment to him triggered the excitement any new yacht owner should have. Nothing was impossible for these 2 ladies, both of them with a very practical approach as they sure know the day to day challenges we face in the industry.

Their passion, their patience, and their eye for detail that goes far beyond only uniform makes you want to visit Southampton in winter! They supplied us with everything, from crew towels, guest toiletries, guest give a ways, beautiful umbrella’s with our logo on etc. Options were endless and they sourced all our sometimes pedantic requests.
Within a rather short time frame, they managed to pull off what a lot of yachts struggle with – Delivery on time.

I hope to set up another new build in the near future. Without a doubt The Superyacht Shop will be the first phone call I make. Working together with these girls was an absolute pleasure.
